1st Thanksgiving as a vegetarian

Surprisingly not hard to do. I couldn't eat the fried turkey (which did smell really good by the way) or the dressing (because it was made with chicken broth) and a few other items, but it was okay. I got to eat all my faves, the macaroni, cranberry salsa, green beans, and rolls. MMM....it was so good. The hardest part was that my carniverous family does not get why I am a vegetarian. They crack jokes in good fun - and to be honest my family is pretty funny. But, I stuck with it and have now gone meat free since October 1st. Pretty good if you ask me. It could be the 40 lbs that I have dropped, or that I sleep at night, or that I no longer have frequent migraines, or that I just feel better in general. I am sticking with it though. This is a life change, and I am ready for it.
